Nicolas Cage set to return for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance
"There's going to be a new one," Cage told the host Craig Ferguson. "I just made the deal today."
Minutes later he also confirmed that Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor will be directing the film as well.
"They're the wonderful directors from Crank, Neveldine and Taylor," Cage said. "They're fantastic."
We reported last month that the directing duo were circling the film and now it seems their deals have been signed as well.

Ghost Rider Spirit of Vengeance was released February 17th, 2012 and stars Nicolas Cage, Violante Placido, Ciarán Hinds, Idris Elba, Johnny Whitworth, Fergus Riordan, Spencer Wilding, Sorin Tofan. The film is directed by Mark Neveldine, Brian Taylor.

Why dont they replace the actors they have to replace.. In no way does Nicholas cage look like the cool Superhero type. I liked part one but he just doesnt fit the part.. My opinion.

@Remy72883 Yeh I know, I hate it when people do that, taylor would be nothing like wolverine. I heard some girl say that jared padalecki should be superman, lol. Alot of people fan cast just because they like a person, and not because of acting ability/look like the character. I think Taylor will do some cool stuff eventually, Im not seeing stretch armstrong being a success though lol.

thankfully iron man, seems to have brought Marvel up to speed on that, and now projects like Thor and Captain America, will most likely rock. The Avengers will be amazing, but they should get Ed Norton as the hulk, without him, yeh sure we have the hulk, but all the other characters like thor etc. are having a character built up in previous movies, and for marvel to take that away is just insane. Like in the dark knight, where for me, I found it difficult to really care about Rachel's character because of the actor swap, which effectively creates a clean slate at the start which is no use.

I think the concept needs a reboot, because the writing and directing was so cheesy, childish, and awkward. They should aim for a 15-rated movie, and set the tone. Alot of marvel movies need to bring in the more epic atmosphere, and I think thats why fantastic 4 and spiderman are being rebooted.

I'm not against Nick, it's just the words that are coming out of him just don't convince me. Acting is about facial expression, and reacting, Cage doesn't do that. He's an emotional-less actor.
I like him in other films but when it comes to this franchise, he's just wrong for the part.

Personally i dont blame cage on this cause i find him to be a damn good actor, in my opinion once the script is giving to the director its the director's job and duty to the film to not only make it work but get it right and fix little things he feels are wrong for the story, so for people to say that cage messed this film up is just a way to point a easy finger, cage is a awesome actor in my opinion with great roles in the rock, face off, which showed his abilities for great drama along with city of angles and con air, not to mention being a bad ass car thief, so i say if the actor truly sucks such as Megan fox and some one who has absolutely no talent like Joan Cussack or however you spell their names then fine, but if not the blame goes to the director on this one as far as im concerned, the second film is a chance at redemption for alot of people and fans, lets face it marvel is not making the best of plays right now

I am divided on this news. I called this, the title and that part 2 was going to happen. But Nicholas Cage needed to NOT be part of this, hopefully it will be a passing the torch flick, but I really doubt it. The first Ghost Rider sucked because of Cage's sh*tty acting and demands of the character, and I don't see how having Cage in this one will make it any better than the sucky first movie. I want Danny Ketch.
