Nicolas Cage will star in Black Butterfly
Nicolas Cage will portray Paul, a reclusive author who becomes friends with a shady drifter, a relationship which ends up having fatal consequences. German actress Veronica Ferres (Adam Resurrected) will also star in an unknown role.
Brian Goodman (What Doesn't Kill You) will direct Black Butterfly, which is based on the French TV movie Papillon Noir. Eric Cantona starred as the drifter, Jack, while Stéphane Freiss played the author, Richard.
Production is scheduled to begin in early 2012 on a budget of $13 million. Shooting will take place in eastern Germany.
