Nicolas Cage joins Ryan Reynolds for The Croods
The Croods is "a comedy that pits a prehistoric patriarch (Cage) against a forward-thinking outsider (Reynolds)."
Cage will play the role of Crug. He cautiously leads his family after an earthquake destroys their home. While attempting to get through this dangerous and unfamiliar world, Crug comes up against Reynolds' nomad, who charms Crug's clan, especially his daughter, with his progressive ways of thinking.
Kirk DeMicco (Space Chimps) will co-write and direct this project with Chris Sanders (Lilo & Stitch).
The Croods was developed by DeMicco and John Cleese. It will be released March 30, 2012, in stereoscopic 3D.
The Croods was released March 22nd, 2013 and stars Nicolas Cage, Emma Stone, Ryan Reynolds, Catherine Keener, Cloris Leachman, Clark Duke, Chris Sanders, Randy Thom. The film is directed by Kirk De Micco, Chris Sanders.

wouldn't Crug simply beat the nomad over the head with a club and then cook and eat him?
i mean, you know, that's what I would do, anyway.
anyway i don't know what stereoscopic 3D is, but i cg cavemen sounds like fun.
