Nick Nolte has joined the cast of Olivier Dahan's new film. According to Variety, Nolte has come aboard My Own Love Song, which is being written and directed by Olivier Dahan (La Vie en Rose).

The film stars Renee Zelwegger and Forest Whitaker and revolves around a former singer, now confined to a wheelchair, who embarks on a road trip with her friend to Memphis. It's unclear what role Nolte will have in the film.

Production is currently under way, filming in Kansas and Louisiana.

My Own Love Song was released in 2010 and stars Forest Whitaker, Renée Zellweger, Madeline Zima, Elias Koteas, Nick Nolte, Annie Parisse, Del Pentecost, Andrea Powell. The film is directed by Olivier Dahan.
