Nick Cave rewriting The Crow remake
The site is also reporting that news on the remake's casting should be expected soon. Here's an excerpt from their article.
"Expect an announcement in the coming weeks about who will land the coveted role of Eric Draven in the reconceptualized remake of The Crow, which will feature the titular bird as more of a full-fledged character than in Alex Proyas' 1994 original."
Stephen Norrington had written the original script for the reboot and was also set to direct the film as well. It wasn't said if Norrington was still on board as the film's director or not.
We'll be sure to keep you posted with any further details on The Crow remake as soon as we have more information.
The Crow is in development . The film is directed by F. Javier Gutiérrez.

Leave this man l;legacy alone, this character Eric Draven is untouchable, i will refuse to see this movie at all cost, if it was another character fine, But Draven and Brandon Lee are one in the same as far as im concerned, seriously is nothing f*cking sacred anymore,

Hollywood and anyone associated with the remake of this eats Liquid Tatanka Dung coming right out of a anus for you brain power! leave the legacy of the 1994 The Crow and Brandon Lee alone! next you will remake "Enter the Dragon" and mess with the legacy of Bruce Lee... does anyone in Hollywood have a heart & soul or is there just a big empty hole were you put all your money! making money of people who died making movies and then recasting them and using the same characters names is the lowest you can go in my opinion... somethings should be respected & off-limits and this is one of them!!!
i hope Linda lee comes out and says something about Hollywood doing this to her son's memory!

It has to be good? He is a music composer who has written 1.5 scripts that no one has heard of. Thats like being excited about BONO or Trent Reznor rewriting a script.

I'm totally against a reboot of this movie. If it's any character other than Eric Draven then I'm all for it. I just can't see anyone bringing anything to the character better then Brandon Lee did. I honestly believe this will be the 1st Crow movie that I will refuse to watch and support.
