Maurice Sendak's classic book comes to the big screen in an adventure tale for every generation. Where the Wild Things Are follows the adventure of Max (Max Records), a mischievous young boy who is sent to his room after rebelling against his mother (Catherine Keener). 2. Vanboy

Yeah, he doesn't in the book either, come to think of it. The wild things bestow it upon him, when he shows that he's the most wildest thing of all, and he becomes their king.

I can only remember in the book, when his room grew into a forest. I can't remember anything about a desert. And where's Max's crown?

Can't wait to see this, still cant believe James Gandolfini is in this. It's nice to see him do something other than ultra-tuff, though his part in "The Man Who Wasn't There" is great.
