This prequel story traces the origins of the centuries-old blood feud between the aristocratic vampires known as Death Dealers and their onetime slaves, the Lycans. In the Dark Ages, a young Lycan named Lucian emerges as a powerful leader who rallies the werewolves to rise up against Viktor, the cruel vampire king who has enslaved them. Lucian is joined by his secret lover, Sonja, in his battle against the Death Dealer army and his struggle for Lycan freedom.
FX artist Patrick Tatopoulos, who developed the creatures for the first two films, is directing.
Underworld 3: The Rise of The Lycans was released January 23rd, 2009 and stars Michael Sheen, Bill Nighy, Rhona Mitra, Steven Mackintosh, Kevin Grevioux, David Aston, Geraldine Brophy, Leighton Cardno. The film is directed by Patrick Tatopoulos.

Well, I know I've been commenting throughout this like I did with the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince trailer, but I'd like to say now that I really like the look of the armor that Viktor and his minions are wearing. It's really neat.

Oh I sooooo can't wait, I'm loving seeing how Bill Nighy looks, Viktor was always my fav, it's great to see his return!!! I know the New Zealand actor Craig Parker, who is best known as Haldir in Lord of the Rings, is playing a Lycan, in an interview he said it's kind of a big part. Rhona Mitra looks great as Sonja, now it all we need is some nice Michael Sheen shots.

I like these dark and atmospheric Gothic horrors. I like Gothic horrors set in Medieval times even more. Hope this great looking prequel is as slick as the first two, especially the amazing first film. Rhona's not quite as hot as Katie B, but she is still hot.

Why is it now that everyone must compare movies with The Dark Knight? I mean Underworld is NOTHING like The Dark Knight, they're not even in the same genre. Honestly, I mean, sure it was an incredible movie, but seriously guys, you're just starting to milk it.....
