You see the little "Disney's" logo over the film title...this equals cheesy, horribly written....sh*t.

That new international poster Rocks! The original tron was a big deal back in the day...groundbreaking computer special effects, cool premise & starring the Big Lebowski himself, Jeff Bridges - glad he's back! The updated effects are worth the price of admission, let's hope that the screenplay & acting is up to the task.

Having seen the original TRON for the first time only a few years ago, I (sadly) could only appreciate it for its "cheesy" special effects. [sigh] I wish I had seen it as a young child or back when it first came out so I could view it now and derive enjoyment from a sense of nostalgia. I still enjoyed the movie, but mostly because I found it "quaint." I missed out on that one.

I would actually pay extra cost to see this in 3D. Agreed 100%, this, more than any other movie that comes quickly to mind, is a great pick for 3D. Any movie can be done wrong, but I have high hopes for this sequal. As for the first Tron... for it's time, it was pretty damn incredible visually.

... From what I read ... "Tron Legacy" is a sequel to the 1982 film Tron.
...Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), looks into his father's disappearance and finds himself pulled into the same world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 25 years.

I never saw the original. Might have to check it out. Hopefully it's not a disaster like that Speed Racer movie, which was the first film that came to mind on seeing the poster and pic.

i love tron!....mmm ..i have something to say judging the look of these two images(i know they're preliminary but..)
...i don't know if this is the final composition but the characters outfits look very simple...no cybernetic interface's "feel"...
the poster..that helmet looks too much like real life motorcycle ones...and putting "disney's" just above the title doesn't feel right either...i now is disney's movie but you don't have to put it in the same bag with the beauty and the beast or peter pan....just my humble opinion...
