After challenging an evil dragon, rescuing a beautiful princess and saving your in-laws' kingdom, what's an ogre to do? Well, if you're Shrek, you suddenly wind up a domesticated family man. Instead of scaring villagers away like he used to, a reluctant Shrek now agrees to autograph pitch forks. What's happened to this ogre's roar? Longing for the days when he felt like a "real ogre," Shrek is duped into signing a pact with the smooth-talking dealmaker, Rumpelstiltskin. Shrek suddenly finds himself in a twisted, alternate version of Far Far Away, where ogres are hunted, Rumpelstiltskin is king and Shrek and Fiona have never met. Now, it's up to Shrek to undo all he's done in the hopes of saving his friends, restoring his world and reclaiming his one True Love. Directed by Mike Mitchell and starring Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, Eddie Murphy, and Antonio Banderas, Shrek Forever After makes its way into theaters on May 21st, 2010.
Shrek Forever After was released May 21st, 2010 and stars Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, Antonio Banderas, Julie Andrews, Jon Hamm, John Cleese, Craig Robinson. The film is directed by Mike Mitchell.

my friend has a real fat cat like that, and its f*cking painful to watch that thing walk.
it always looks like its ankles are about to snap.

It's the end of the films but the producers want a half hour series for tv, Meyers and Eddy don't want to be attached to it. I rather see more films but what ever happens, happens.

First - right now, Shrek is the only money maker at Dreamworks Animation... this will not be the last one. Second - when three was thrashed like it was by fans what led them to think that a fourth film was in order?
the idea sounds funny (and i love Puss-in-Boots sliding down the scratching pole (hilarious)... i just hope they follow through with this one much better than they did #3.

I enjoyed alll of them, first two were great the third was a bit crude. Hope the fourth is watchable, Meyers does tend to go a little too far.

Oh no. The fact that it's "3-D" is going to cheese it up. Ah well. The first is pretty much the only one I liked, since it gave Disney a wake-up call back in 2001.

Dark enV
Shrek and Shrek 2 were great, the third one was awful, this one does have a good concept and the thing is I think this really is the last one now, they announced a fifth one like a couple years ago but they're actually advertising that this is the last one so maybe it is. Trailer did suck but the movie might end up being ok, doubt it'll top Shrek 1 or 2 though

wow this looks so bad
something tells me they picked a plotpoint from a grass field
but thank God this IS the last one, after the 3rd movie everything went down the toilet

Todd, back in 07 they said Shrek the third was the last Shrek. If this Shrek brings in big money, this will not be the last film.
