New The Haunting in Connecticut Motion Poster Arrives
Based on a chilling true story, Lionsgate's The Haunting in Connecticut charts one family's terrifying, real-life encounter with the dark forces of the supernatural. When the Campbell family moves to upstate Connecticut, they soon learn that their charming Victorian home has a disturbing history: not only was the house a transformed funeral parlor where inconceivable acts occurred, but the owner's clairvoyant son Jonah served as a demonic messenger, providing a gateway for spiritual entities to crossover.
Now unspeakable terror awaits, when Jonah, the boy who communicated with the powerful dark forces of the supernatural, returns to unleash a new kind of horror on the innocent and unsuspecting family.
The Haunting in Connecticut was released March 27th, 2009 and stars Virginia Madsen, Kyle Gallner, Elias Koteas, Amanda Crew, Martin Donovan, Sophi Knight, Ty Wood, Erik J. Berg. The film is directed by Peter Cornwell.

I love the look but as for content I need to see it first before I judge, which most of you don't do. Watch something before you pass judgement of a movie.

this is just another cliched, unoriginal, stupid and predictable supernatural thriller that says its based off a true story...nothing new here at all

I can honestly that when I saw the trailer for this at the theater this hair on my arms stood up and it had chills. I don't scare easilly and for a trailer to do this I think I will the 10 bucks to go see what else scares me when it comes out.

But, yeah. As Comrade said. I've hung out with paranormal investigators before and, though there is some trippy stuff that happens in the sites they go to, NOTHING, I repeat, NOTHING, like what they show in the trailer for this actually happened like that or ever has. There is simply not enough kinetic energy for a disturbance of that scale to occur. Of course, this is entertainment, so I'll leave it at that. I might actually go see this one, now that I remember how freaked out I was when I heard of this happening.

Gross.
I hate this, "based on a true story" bullsh*t in horror movies
The furthest clim they can make is "inspired by true events"
