Speed Racer is a live-action adaptation of the popular cartoon of the same name, which is in turn an adaptation of the Japanese anime series Mach GoGoGo. this movie looks amazing. and remember "haters" this is a family film for children mainly as was the cartoon, i dont know what the complaining is all about but the visuals are groundbreaking and unlke anything we have ever seen in an american movie and fas as children films go this looks way more interesting and, for lack of a better word, cool compared to other family films we'll see this spring and summer. cool ya jets people this is supposed to be a fun film for families not those looking for dark storylines and gritty approaches. the wachowskis are groundbreaking and proved that with The Matrix Triloy, V For Vendetta, and their first film Bound... i'll trust their judgement in making an entertaining film with great visuals.

This family movie is based on a cartoon, thus its shiny happy look. Not every movie is suppose to have a Fincher gritty aesthetic.
The racing action and Wachowski whiz bang camera work with its everything in focus look will pull some good box office.
