I hope this movie turns out to be good because I love these games. And Jake kind of looks like the character, too. Especially on the covers for The Warrior Within & The Two Thrones games.

This shouldn't be compared to DBZ. Fox is not handling this, that is all.

Well, that looks better than what we've seen so far. Big PoP fan here. Hoping it will be great, but since Disney is handling it, I'm not too sure or stoked about it. :P

Absolutely he is too pale for this role. It's PRINCE OF PERSIA not PRINCE OF RUSSIA. Nice outfit though.

yeah, but JG was good as RG in David Fincher's "Zodiac" (2007).

well, all stories have to be changed in some ways to fit in a movie media. maybe that's why video games to movies have bombed. Even this movie has changes in storyline comparing to the game.

  18. kingbrady

the guy says his friend is an extra and says Jake's acting is sh*t, well coming from an extra thats is rock solid right there......if the writer is the guy from the game than the movie's storyline will be fine compared to the game, as they know better what can happen if it doesnt follow the story (ie every other movie made from a game)

This has all elements to the Prince of Persia games: Prince's clothes( Warrrior Within), Environment( Two Thrones), No Royal Bloodline (Prince of Persia), and Storyline (Sands of TIme).

  20. Lone Wolf

Actually, I don't know if anyone else can agree with me, but I always thought the concept art of the "Prince" from the videogames kinda looked like Hugh Jack when he played as "Van Helsing". Especially the cover art for "Warrior Within".
Can anyone else relate with me?

hmm....i really hope they make it as good as the game.

  23. Clockworkcookie

Lone Wolf is right, in fact, in all the games the Prince has a bit of a western look to him, too. That's why it doesn't bother me that a western actor is playing him.

This looks soooo gay!!!! Although uit will prolly be entertaining.

Also, I don't think a Persian accent is that neccesary. My reason being is that in the video game, the "Prince" didn't have a Persian accent, or at least not a very thick on at all.

  26. Lone Wolf

Well, they'd better not screw this one up. The "Prince Of Persia" franchise is one of my FAVORITE videogames. I do admit, he looks stunningly close to the actual videogame character and I love that they are going with the outfit he had in "Warrior Within". It's dead on accurate down to the smallest detail.

  27. Lock and Stock

I can tell that his acting will be sh*t, the film will still be a success storywise. The good news is the movie will have a good story because Jordan Mechner, the developer of the games has written the screenplay.

If this ends as success I would like to see Dahaka. (I don't know if I spell it right but I think about that black monster from POP2 game who hunts time-transpasers like Prince)
Man! How awsome is that game!? I can't wait for this movie! :)
