New Photos of Olga Kurylenko in Centurion
Empire Online has your very first look at Quantum of Solace's Olga Kurylenko in Neil Marshall's upcoming fantasy adventure Centurion. As described in the screenplay, Olga will play Etain, a savage-looking Pict warrior woman. About the character, Marshall said, "Etain is kind of revenge incarnate. Her family were butchered by the Romans, she had her tongue cut out by the Romans, she's had a hell of a time and she's out for Roman blood." Olga also chimed in about Etain, saying, "She's quite furious. Because one sense is not there - she can't speak - all the others are more developed. She sees very well and hears very well: she is an animal!" Take a look at Olga's Etain below:
Centurion does not have a set release date in the States at this time.Centurion was released August 27th, 2010 and stars Michael Fassbender, Andreas Wisniewski, Dave Legeno, Axelle Carolyn, Dominic West, Dhaffer L'Abidine, JJ Feild, Lee Ross. The film is directed by Neil Marshall.

She will prance around, look hot, and tease the main character, who will for some f*cked up reason, turn her down when she's asking for it (Solace, Max Payne, Hitman)...

Yeah I'm def seeing this now. I'm glad to see her in something else. I can never get enough screen time of this woman. And she's a much better actress than people think. But i can't wait to see how she does with no speech.

I agree, I do believe they should allow you to escape reality... but how I interpret that is different. Fantasy and science-fiction are beyond our reality - giving us that escapism - yet you can still have genuine and realistic characters who enable you to feel connected with this alternate reality. I don't know nearly enough about this movie to cast judgement yet, and Olga seems to be an adept actress, I was just stating an observation which has been nagging at me for a while.

I am confused - why is this set as a fantasy? Shouldn't it be a historical fiction? But other than that, I tire of the "beautiful barbarian battle-maidens". It is a cliche, and it is old. I would rather the girl be older, uglier, beat-up and scarred. Why? Because that is the way things would play out in reality.
