New Line to Support Total HD
In a story from The Digital Bits, they report that New Line will support Total Hi Definition in 2007.
According New Line's Steve Einhorn, "We plan to completely support THD specifically. This will move our schedule ahead considerably."
The first order of business seems to be not if but when consumers can expect the The Lord Of The Rings films in THD?
Einhorn then said "that the studio was 'working on it now', that the titles were 'high on their agenda' and that they were 'looking at the right time and venue' for the release."
The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring was released December 19th, 2001 and stars Alan Howard, Elijah Wood, Noel Appleby, Sean Astin, Sala Baker, Sean Bean, Cate Blanchett, Orlando Bloom. The film is directed by Peter Jackson.
