New Line Cinema acquires an untitled pitch from Allison Burnett
No story details were revealed, although the sensual project is being compared to the 1981 thriller Body Heat. The acquisition is also unique because it comes with no producers or actors attached, which is uncommon in today's Hollywood landscape where studios primarily lean towards package deals. The deal marks his first pitch sale, after making a career from spec screenplay sales and studio assignments.
Allison Burnett's other writing credits include Fame, Untraceable, Feast of Love, Resurrecting the Champ, and Autumn In New York.
No production schedule was released for this new untitled project.

love Body Heat, but that's one lofty comparison. Not to mention his other writing credits are sub-par to say the least.
