Vanity Fair have posted the first images from 20th Century Fox's upcoming Johnny Cash biopic, Walk the Line, starring Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon.

Joaquin Phoenix stars as country music legend Johnny Cash and Witherspoon is his wife and bandmate June Carter. The film is described as a nontraditional biopic centering on a snapshot of Cash's life with a focus on his younger years shifting to Memphis when country started to heat up. The project details his life as he gets older with a look at Cash's drug addiction problem.

The film is scheduled to hit theaters on April 22nd.
