New Hints on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Film Split

We all know that the last Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, will be split into two films... but where will they split? Empire Online recently chatted with star Daniel Radcliffe and director David Heyman, who revealed some clues as to where the first and second film will be split up.

"We've played around with a couple of places," said Heyman, "and ultimately settled on a place that we think is very exciting, and I think quite bold, in that it's not necessarily where one might expect. You want to give a sense of completion, on one hand, but a sense that there's another piece, more to come. We tried one and then Steve (Kloves, screenwriter) came up with the idea to try it another way and when we tried that, it felt just right."

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is set for a November 10, 2010 release while Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II will be released on July 15, 2011.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 was released July 15th, 2011 and stars Ralph Fiennes, Michael Gambon, Alan Rickman, Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Evanna Lynch, Domhnall Gleeson. The film is directed by David Yates.

    I AGREE, ELDAR WAND. DEATHLY HALLOWS WOULD,NT BE BAD EITHER. AS THEY ARE MAKIN THIS INTO TWO FILMS, THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET MOST OF THE IMPORTANT STORY LINE IN.

    I don't see Ron's departure, or the explanation of the Deadly Hollows, as "tense." Therefore, I will agree that Voldemort and the Elder Wand is the best bet...

    prt1.. i think they will either end it at harrys old house,lovegood talking about the deathly hallows, or when Voldermort gets the elder wand.

    prt2.. how r they releasing this. is it gonna be part 1 and then a year later part two or are they doing it a couple months in between each other

    i also like the idea of ending the first one when voldermort detroys the the white tomb and takes the elder wand that would be sick but im thinking its going to be when Ron leaves harry and hermoine it leaves you feeling like there has to be more Ron can leave Harry, and its also a good way to leave most of the action in the 2nd movie.

    The most obvious split point would be when Xenophillius Lovegood says the famous line, "Are you referring to the sign of The Deathly Hallows?" That would be a great ending, but like I said, too obvious. A point I would like to see it split at would be maybe Godrics Hollow...when Harry and Hermione leave arm in arm from the grveyard or when Harry first sets eyes on his old house. Thats one of my favorite chapters from book seven. That, or what Killah suggested and have it when Ron leaves. I've been seriously disappointed by the last 3 HP movies, but with Half Blood Prince looking to be the best so far, and the fact that they split book 7 into two movies to give it the respect it deserves, my hope is being renewed in this franchise. And if Billy Connolly isn't cast as Xenophillius, thats just a damn shame.

    i think it will be after dobby dies and harry decides to destroy horcruxes instead of trying to obtain the elder wand and voldemort gets it...i can see a closing shot with voldemort holding the wand up high and laughing...
