Voldemort is tightening his grip on both the Muggle and wizarding worlds and Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was. Harry suspects that dangers may even lie within the castle, but Dumbledore is more intent upon preparing him for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching. Together they work to find the key to unlock Voldemort's defenses and, to this end, Dumbledore recruits his old friend and colleague, the well-connected and unsuspecting bon vivant Professor Horace Slughorn, whom he believes holds crucial information. Meanwhile, the students are under attack from a very different adversary as teenage hormones rage across the ramparts. Harry finds himself more and more drawn to Ginny, but so is Dean Thomas. And Lavender Brown has decided that Ron is the one for her, only she hadn't counted on Romilda Vane's chocolates! And then there's Hermione, simpering with jealously but determined not to show her feelings. As romance blossoms, one student remains aloof. He is determined to make his mark, albeit a dark one. Love is in the air, but tragedy lies ahead and Hogwarts may never be the same again.

And yet...

As in all wars, life goes on. Sixth-year students learn to Apparate - and lose a few eyebrows in the process. The Weasley twins expand their business. Teenagers flirt and fight and fall in love. Classes are never straightforward, though Harry receives some extraordinary help from the mysterious Half-Blood Prince.

So it's the home front that takes center stage in the multilayered sixth installment of the story of Harry Potter. Here at Hogwarts, Harry will search for the full and complex story of the boy who became Lord Voldemort - and thereby find what may be his only vulnerability.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was released July 15th, 2009 and stars Daniel Radcliffe, Michael Gambon, Dave Legeno, Elarica Gallacher, Jim Broadbent, Geraldine Somerville, Bonnie Wright, Julie Walters. The film is directed by David Yates.

    The Harry Potter franche is one set of movies that has actually worked through the tears. We all know there arent very many. Star Wars, Nolans Batman, and a few others. So i will definitely go see this. I trust them to make another good film

    I said it once but I'm saying again, HURRY UP JULY!!! Each time I watch this trailer it just makes me more and more angry that we're still in the year 2008! I know the film will probably be better because of the longer wait but I really wish I could watch it now.

    Jigsaw isn't Howard Saint. I think Saint was just a character that was created for the movie...but I don't read Punisher comics, so I could be wrong. I don't believe War Zone is a sequel either. I think it's more like a "requel"(re-make/sequel) in the same way as Incredible Hulk

    to moviecritique...I thought Jigsaw was Howard Saint? I was under the impression that War Zone was a sequel and if I do recall, I remember reading somewhere a long time ago that Jigsaw's actual name was Howard Saint.

    Oli Harry potter is surely better than twilight but that is sure because we are all amazed by the first 5 movies from the series and because the sirectors made us see each charachter the way they are by putting those actors in them, it's not something new. now twilight is something newer, with new actors. so you really can't talk about the fact that harry potter is better than twilight, but twilight never even started especially if you didn't read the book. + twilight is about vampires, but harry potter is all about wizards and magic. it kinda has nothing to do with the other.
