But that's not all, folks. USA Today has the first official one-sheet poster for the film, which you can enlarge by clicking below.
Still, that's not all either, folks. USA Today also got to speak with Eastwood about his new film, and here are a few tidbits about the film and the character he plays, Walt Kowalski.
"He worked on the line in the Ford plant and retired and had this one car he bought himself. It's sort of a symbol of his days with the Ford plant. The M-1 is sort of a symbol of his days in the military. ... He's clinging to the memory of the war. You'll find out when you see it, some of (the memories) are not as pleasant as others. That helps make him even tougher to get along with."
He also talks about how he gets involved with his young Asian neighbor, played by newcomer Bee Vang, which involves the title car.
"The young kid, as part of a gang initiation, tries to steal it, and the old guy gets him at the end of the M-1, which becomes kind of a big deal," Eastwood says. "The kid has to do penance because of the pride of the Asian group. They make him do penance. He has to come over, and the old guy doesn't want anything to do with him, doesn't want him anywhere around."
Eastwood also talked a little bit about coming to the end of his acting career, and how this might be one of this last performances.
"Yeah, it'll probably be my last," he says of Gran Torino. "I'll be drummed out of it after this one... nah, I'm just kidding. Every time you do one you think, 'Aw, that's enough of that.' I always feel it's very comfortable to be behind the camera."
Gran Torino opens in theaters on December 17.
Gran Torino was released December 12th, 2008 and stars Clint Eastwood, Christopher Carley, Bee Vang, Ahney Her, Brian Haley, Geraldine Hughes, Dreama Walker, Brian Howe. The film is directed by Clint Eastwood.
