New Bumblebee Revealed in 'Transformers 4' Photos

Director Michael Bay offers a sneak peek at the 2014 Concept Camaro, a month after the 1967 Camaro SS Bumblebee was unveiled.
Director Michael Bay took to his official website today to reveal yet another version of Bumblebee in Transformers 4. Back in May, the director posted a photo featuring the 1967 Camaro SS version of this yellow Autobot, with today's shots showcasing a 2014 Concept Camaro that will also be used in his sci-fi action sequel. It seems possible that the filmmaker will take a page out of his original Transformers movie, with Bumblebee starting out as an older car before using his powerful technology to transform into a newer model. At any rate, take a look at the photos, along with the description from Michael Bay's website.

@jasonkat You are correct. It was a way of recognizing the classic Generation 1 look while also giving it the finger as the camaro slams it with its door

Yea i think i remember him now. he was alil yellow car back in the 80s, (not sure what year) but i know who he is now. i just wasnt sure he was bumblebee. and an updated 2007 camaro didnt give it away for me, lol
I might be wrong but didnt they show a Volkswagen in the first film when sam and his dad are looking for a new car.? I dont remember what happens, its been awhile since i seen the movie. but bumble bee hits the VW with its door and a window cracks or something. so sam ends up liking the bigger car, b4 it changed to the camaro later in the film..

@jasonkat Well, the character has always been a main character since Generation 1. Although, back then he was a little VW type. The camaro is just a marketing/product placement/revamping tool. But yes, the character has always been yellow, so in a way, the writers and Bay included kept the essence of the character. Only in the feature films is the character a mute and uses the radio to talk, for humor and such, and later been transferred as current characterization like in the new animated series on The Hub channel

Yea im not familiar with the comics So i dont know if bumblebee is just made up for the film or if hes an actual character like prime and such. I was just wondering if this car was picked out just because its a new model coming out or if bay just picks out watever to slap on a character.
