Fox News is reporting that The Diving Bell and the Butterfly star Mathieu Amalric has singed on to star in the upcoming sequel to last year's Casino Royale. He will be playing the film's villain.

It is also being reported that Leona Lewis may be singing the theme to the latest James Bond adventure. Here is what Fox News had to say:

Even though sources insist it's true, Amalric would neither confirm nor deny. Since his "Diving Bell" character communicates through blinking, we thought of asking him to do just that - one for yes, two for no - but thought better of it. Anyway, expect a formal announcement shortly. This is a done deal.

Daniel Craig has already signed on to reprise his role as James Bond in the next installment of the popular franchise.
