Stereotypical? I was going for Cliche, but that works too, I guess. Thanks :)

Oh, and I enjoyed your comment about the writing, Diaigma. It is in a way stereotypical, isn't it? But I guess the aliens do have to talk like that. I mean, how else would an enlightened race of peaceful consciencious objecters express their style of speech? XD LOL

You are absolutely right, Atreus. I noticed that fact too. Sometimes I wonder why it's so difficult for script writers to come up with an original name for an extraterrestrial species' object and/or planet. I mean, why in the fury of hell would an alien species that has had no previous contact with us have any familiarity with our own language other than under circ*mstances of pure coincidence? The chances of such a coincidence actually happening are astronomical! (pun intended)
That's why when I write my sci-fi books, the names for all alien objects and planets within will be 100% original. There will be none of this coincidental-human-names-for-alien-objects load of bullocks.
But when I review this movie, I will allow the title of "Terra" to slip by. After all, it is kinda kiddish, I guess, with an obvious usage of a serious undertone.

Err
kinda reminded me of 'independance day', except with the shoe on the other foot. it'll probably have a taste of 'enemy mine' in there too, where an alien and human become friends as a catalyst for compromise.

Don't worry, Atreus. Robotech is coming out next year, and if they ever get around to Ender's Game, we'll be set. It's time for Sci-Fi to make a comeback! :P

Ok.... what really annoys me about this is the fact that.... WE ARE TERRANS!!! Our planet is not named earth - earth is simply a word to describe the ground upon which we stand. Our planet is named Terra, our moon Luna, our sun Sol. We who live here are either Terrans or possibly Solarans.
God, can't they think of an original name for a planet - or at least name it something other than after our own home.
Anywho, I digress. The evil conquering humans plot is kinda annoying, but the visuals look pretty good. I don't see why they have to make all these kiddy space movies when you got great sci-fi writers out there whose stories we can use. God, could you imagine a movie based on David Weber's "Empire from the Ashes" Planet sized spaceships duking it out in space.

Did they have to make the Aliens cute though? Well...not that cute, but they could have made them a bit more forminable looking. That way the kids won't be so hyped to see it.

this is a different approach for cg animation. kinda reminds me of that Titan A.E. movie. its animated which means its obviously for kids but it has a dramatic theme to it. idk it could be interesting. i bet those space battles are gonna be incredible in 3D.

I found myself laughing as I watched it again.
"It has begun..."
"In our darkest hour..."
"It's a trap!..."
I think the screenwriter should get an Oscar! :P

I actually think it's a unique and interesting story, highlighting humanity's reversal to barbarism when faced with a life-ending situation. Animated films, especially Wall-E, have been handeling some mature themes, and this looks to take it to the next level, with themes like war, barbarism/heroism, space colonization, and difficult choices.

Yeah, being animated, kids will be drawn to it. However, this trailer didn't mislead, I thought it looked pretty serious for an animated film. If they do put out a midleading TV spot, hopefully parents will remember this trailer, and if they don't, hopefully they don't bitch about it. "My little girl thought this would be a fun animated adventure, but it was about war and annihilation!"
