IGN has posted a new domestic trailer for the upcoming 20th Century Fox film Aliens vs. Predator - Requiem.

    i dare say that i concur with Supernatural anything else would be blasphomous but the first one was ok, i was happy to finally see Aliens Vs Predator... because i read the comics so of course i would look foward to the movie but the ending just ruined it for me... i mean the only way it would have been worse is if the human and the predator hugged :)

    To answer supernatural's question. no, the R-rating is not a good thing. For two reasons. One: it lowers the numbers of people who want to see it. (Both adults and children put together) And Two: the gore, blood, bad language. That's pretty much what it will all be. None of it is nesesary. Given the chance if I direct an AVP film I would try to make it the way it should be. Intense, Scary, action packed. I think the first AVP didn't have enough action or intenseity. There is a way to do that without getting the R-rating and I know the way.

    So the actings bad, big deal, some of us just wana go see the predators kick the sh*t out of the alliens and humans. im just glad they finally decided to make it so that the predators kill both humans and aliens cause im sorry but they killed avp when they had the predator and the human team up

    ok i just want to say that i think the forest direction is great! because i hunt and the last thing i want to think of while siting in a deer stand is that a facehugger is going to come out of now where and latch on to my face.... and Predator took place in a jungle and i know i am scratching for reasons to say this movie will be good...... but in the end all you really need is hope....haha

    Wow this movie looks like..... shi#t. Absolute garbage. Let me give everyone here a little heads up on what to expect from this movie. If your easily amused by D- movies with horrendous acting/directing and even worse writing then I'm sure you are going to love this movie. But for all of you out there who actually appreciate the original films, and filmmaking in general for that matter, you mind as well stay home and wait for it to come out on DVD. Who would like to know why this movie is going to suck even worse than the first AVP? First off, just looking at the trailer you can tell everyone on board this film is as inexperienced if not more so than most film students, it looks like a made for TV Sci-Fi Channel movie of the month. The only thing these Directors "think" they have going for them is the fact that they used more blood and gore than the first AVP....woopty fu*king doo. None of the Original movies had tons and tons of blood, its not what made them so good, its not what made them cult classics. Now obviously when combining two franchising together your not going to come out with an academy award winning film, but it CAN still be good. The first film had everything going for it in terms of visual style and story (all the way up until the end when the humans and Predators teamed up as well as lack of actual Predators fighting Aliens), but the hack who we know as Paul W. Anderson decided it would be cool to cut out almost all the killing in it's entirety and slap a PG-13 rating on it to get more adolescent viewings (I know it was 20th century fox who decided that but he still sold out), not to mention he killed off two of the three predators in the first fight too. Great job Paul! I could go on and on about what was wrong with the first film but at the same time I have to give credit when it is due. I hate Paul Anderson as a director more than anyone but he did create a working environment suitable for both creatures and the overall look of everything was great , hints the most appalling directing/writing decision attached to the sequel....Colorado Forest/Neighborhoods!? WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING?! Throwing Aliens into the Colorado wilderness with deer, sunshine and furry little rabbits simply cannot and will not work....EVER! It does not fit, you have to have a creepy, nightmarish environment bathed in shadows and mystery reminiscent of H. R. Giger's original design. Why don't you just throw the battle on a beautiful desolate beach in the Bahamas, it will have the same effect. And now instead of futuristic marines with badass weapons, the creatures get to face off against........ the hardcore residence of Colorado! I knew this movie was going to be bad news the moment they announced it was two unknowns directing, not that having unknowns is always a bad thing, but it helps to have some credible experience under your belt before taking on a project as complex as this (same thing happened with Eragon).
    I cant believe all of you think this movie actually looks good. Another thing, look at the actors, does anyone recognize anyone other than the girl from 24, who I bet 95% of you cannot refer to by name without going to IMDB.com. I appreciate giving unknown actors a chance as much as the next guy, but lets face facts, about 5 times out of 10 they are only mediocre (Hayden Christianson anyone?). So not only do we have unknown directors but an entire unknown cast as well. Odds are not looking good.
    Then we have the issue of the Hybrid, which looks like sh*t I might add. A couple months back I saw an image of a Predalien Hybrid model from preproduction and actually got pretty excited about its design. It looked really good, and then about two days later 20th century fox announced that that particular model was not from the movie. I then saw the trailer for this movie and that disgrace of a hybrid design they chose to go with. What a joke, it reminds me of the first time I saw that hybrid thing from Alien Resurrection.
    The special effects aren't looking too special either nor is the dialogue. In fact the dialogue is just plan crap and that is just judgeing off of the trailer. I mean that is some of the cheesiest nonsense I have ever heard. And what about the scene when 24 girl is driving the army vehicle with the little girl next to her and she yells for everyone to "Hold On", wow thats original. Thats not taken directly out of Aliens with Ripley and Newt, nor are they making that character exactly like Ripley. What is with these movies and the Superwomen character? It worked with Ripley and only Ripley, enough is enough already.
    Look, I could go on forever why this movie is going to suck, which is unfortunate because nobody wanted this movie to be great more than me. I just don't want everyone getting excited for nothing.

    AVP-R is going to be the worst film even released because of it's R rating. Also Horror and Christmas do not mix. If they want to release this during a holiday, try Halloween. (Or not at all.)

    finally, i get to see the trailer. Even though i hated the first AVP i wouldn't mind seeing this. Who knows, it could be good. And its R rated so you know its gonna have a lot more action and GORE.
