I just saw the NECA action figure for this in the stores yesterday and it comes with two heads. The first head looks like he's just confused and the second looks like he just smelled someone's fart. A HUGE EPIC FAIL.

This guy just does NOT do it for me. This guy to me is NOT freddy Krueger. Maybe for me, who loved Nightmare on Elm Street so much I used to write my own storylines for it when I was a kid, NO ONE can be as scary as Robert Englund's face in that make up. The only guy I can think of that might come close.. lookwise but not actingwise is Liam Neeson. His face looks close to Robert Englunds. Plus I dunno, seems like the makeup is fake. On the original Freddy, you can almost see the pits and pulls of skin from being burned.. This guy just seems like the burns and open wounds are strategically placed. Meh.

Yeah, it's not the movie I have a problem with, but all horror icons need to have a properly scary image, and this guy doesn't. The original Freddy might not have been a realistic looking burnt victim, but it's a movie about a guy who kills people in their nightmares - it's not SUPPOSED to be realistic. And the original Freddy at least looked pretty scary.

people need to stop bitching about how this movie will suck. I'm a huge fan of the originals( first and third are my favs) just because they remade this movie dosent mean the orignals are tarnished for good. Jackie is a great actor but i do agree he will never undue what robert has acomplished with this character.

Freddy looks like he's healed for at least a few months. Shouldn't he look like he did the exact moment he died from the fire? Making him a bit more charred and bloodied probably would have made him look a lot scarier.

I like the fact that people are complaining about how he looks. He's a burn victim! Who gives a sh*t what he looks like? Personally, I couldn't care less about this movie(or the original series for that matter), but after the hard day of work I had, I'm glad I came here and read some of these posts. I needed a good laugh.
