Emmerich is the most pessimistic director in hollywood, first he tried to kill us with aliens in ID4, then he tried to freeze us to dead in The Day After Tomorrow and now trying to kill us with ancient prophecy in 2012...there is something wrong with this guy..haha..

    I was joking Mr. Brady.

I can't read Chinese, Japanese, Cantonese, or any other -ese. ;)
I suppose I should have researched my joke properly, or at least read the caption above the trailer!

Movie still looks cool, even if it is over-the-top-eye-candy (nothing wrong with that, though)!

Daydream, even if all the planets do align they are too far away to give us the right perspective to block out the sun. Only the moon can do that.

daydream247, the world will not end on that day, hasnt it been said thats the end of the era we live in, which they determined is the era of Jesus Christ (pisces) and we enter a new era of Aries, if there is cataclysmic events, we will not all die

God this movie is going to rock. I mean maybe the story and stuff will be a little lacking, and sure 10,000 BC sucked, but the effects and destruction (eye candy) are what you are paying to see. Hopefully there is more to it than that but either way I will be there opening night.

I am excited for this film, even though Emmerich's last film sucked. I think he will do well with this.

Looks like it could be a contender for "most epic" disaster movie ever. Of course, this is Emmerich we're talking about...

Plus I've only been a male prostitute for a 2 years, I'll ever make my 5 year mark if the world ends in 2012. Oh sh*t, some sugar daddy's calling me over, gotta go.

Good thing I can read Chinese... ;)

I kept waiting for Bill Pullman to jump out yelling, "We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on! We're going to survive!"

Oh well, I suppose I'll just have to wait for the theatrical release...

Looks like your typical disaster film. No real plot and all the focus goes on the effects. Miracle Mile thee best disaster film ever made. Some CGI in this looked great but some did look terrible, like the clip from when the Vatican is crumbling.

The whole thing with the world ending in 2012 is all bullsh*t but the movie looks good so far. The CGI looks great.

  20. Vanboy

The effects look realistic, perfected and polished. You know, the day, "When Worlds Collide", finally opens, will it be able to compare to this? This will be very hard to top!
