Ben Stiller wanted for Neighborhood Watch
Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, the writing partners behind Superbad and The Green Hornet, penned this adventure about a newcomer who hopes to make friends with his neighbors in a suburban cul-de-sac by joining their Neighborhood Watch team. Things take a turn for the strange when aliens invade their small community.
The combined writing talents of Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are what drew both Ben Stiller and Akiva Schaffer to the project. Its unclear if Seth Rogen will appear in the movie, and its being speculated that Ben Stiller may simply be too busy to take on the project, which is eyeing a 2012 release date.
The Watch comes to theaters July 27th, 2012 and stars Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, Rosemarie DeWitt, Jonah Hill, Nicholas Braun, Richard Ayoade, Will Forte, Billy Crudup. The film is directed by Akiva Schaffer.

Meh. I like Akiva Schaffer, when he's rapping alongside Samberg. I didn't see Hot Rod though, so I cannot comment on his directing skills.
