Ne-Yo Joins Up for Battle: Los Angeles

According to The Hollywood Reporter, R&B singer-songwriter Ne-Yo is joining Battle: Los Angeles for Columbia Pictures.

Also joining the cast are Ramon Rodriguez, Taylor Handley and Cory Hardrict. Jonathan Liebesman (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning) is directing.

Other new members of the cast include Jadin Gould, Bryce Cass and Joey King. They all join the currently cast Aaron Eckhart, Michelle Rodriguez, Bridget Moynahan and Michael Pena.

Ne-Yo will be playing a corporal in the platoon.

Rodriguez, Handley and Hardrict are going to be members of the platoon that fight the aliens. Lastly Cass, Gould and King will play kids trapped in a community center.

Battle: Los Angeles starts shooting this week in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Battle: Los Angeles was released March 11th, 2011 and stars Aaron Eckhart, Ramon Rodriguez, Cory Hardrict, Gino Anthony Pesi, Ne-Yo, James Hiroyuki Liao, Bridget Moynahan, Noel Fisher. The film is directed by Jonathan Liebesman.
