NBC to Bring Over Nashville Star
According to Variety, NBC is bringing over the show Nashville Star from the USA Network. USA officials apparently wanted no part in bringing the show back for its sixth season, but exec producer Ben Silverman is now running NBC Entertainment, hence the move.
The network plans to start casting later this month, with an eye for a summer premiere. A new host and judges are also in store for the show, along with format changes as well. They are now allowing duets and full groups to compete, with the minimum age being 16 and no cap on the max age.
