NBC Orders Up 6 More Episodes of Chuck
The show was almost cancelled last May, but NBC executives were "wowed enough by an aggressive campaign by the show's loyalists to keep it on the air."
This campaign had the fans purchasing hoagies at Subway.
Initially, NBC picked up 13 episodes of the show for midseason, and hadn't planned to bring the series back until March.
However, with Southland off NBC's roster it looks like Chuck could return as soon as January. Thus the third season of the show will now be 19 episodes.

This show is terrible. One of worst programs to ever be granted a second attempt at underachieving.
SERIOUSLY, CHUCK INTERNS, PRODUCERS, AND FLUFFERS STOP POSTING ABOUT THIS SHOW BEING COOL. IDC IF YOUR COUSIN WORKS ON THE SHOW. STOP TRYING TO TELL PEEPS ITS GOOD. NO PERSON IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD THINK THIS IS QUALITY TV. GROW UP PEOPLE.

Nice. But how are they going to explain away Chuck's kung-fu superskills from the finale? Are they gonna make it an Incredible Hulk type thing, like "don't make Chuck angry, you wouldn't like him when he's angry."
