NBC is keeping with the futuristic trend this pilot season with another pilot order. According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC has given a pilot order for Heroes writer/executive producer Jesse Alexander's script, Day One.

The project will center an a global, catastrophic event that leaves the world in shambles where a small group of survivors attempt to pick up the pieces, figure out what went wrong and see what's in store for the future.

NBC does have some competition in the futuristic game, though. ABC has already picked up two futuristic projects this pilot season, with Flash Forward and yesterday's announcement of the V mini-series remake.
