It seems that a TV mainstay's new project might not see the light of day. According to The Hollywood Reporter, David E. Kelley's pilot Legally Mad will not be picked up to series by NBC.

It was said the pilot was originally in consideration for a midseason pickup, but the network decided to pass altogether.

The project is not being shopped around to other networks at this time.
