NBC Cancels Trauma
The series was absent from last week's pickups of Community, Parks and Recreation and fellow medical drama Mercy, which never tends to bode well for a new series. The series will cease production after its initial 13-episode order is completed.
The move is somewhat attributed to Parenthood, which was forced to move to midseason after actress Maura Tierney fell ill and the network was forced to air two medical dramas in the same season, moving Mercy up from a midseason slot.
It wasn't clear when or how the network would air the remaining episodes of Trauma.

They shoulda never cancelled Life (among many others, but Life was the most recent). And shortly after it won an AFI award no less.
Mercy deserved the pickup. It's a well written show with believable and well rounded characters. Well, believable except for the fact that they're all friggin beautiful, both the men and women.

Jon Spidey, your right, unless you watched NBC on a regular basis you wouldn't really know about this show, but I would consider that a minor issue compared to the real reason why they were canceled which is because of the budget.

good thing I didnt watch this show to begin with
this is what happens when the marketing doesnt work and a show is not advertised enough

Yeah, that's what I mean that helicopter explosion had a lot of money put into. There blowing their finances and they would have gotten considerate with it and later on would have started doing that cheesy TV Cg crap.

ya but they had a helicopter explode on episode 1 and it wasnt TV cheesy looking though, i think the amount of cash to do this series was expensive maybe thats why a good reason too, why spend $5 million an episode when they make $5 million in return it doesnt really pay out

On many times I would make NBC the fault of doing retarded sh*t, but this I really can't blame. I don't really think it was because of the ratings, but because of the high budget. I mean every episode was high octane action packed which most of the situations in this were already cover in the ER series. I knew from the start that they weren't going to stick with this. It costed way to much to keep up with these amazing scenes. And then if they would have stuck with this they would have gotten considerate with the spending, resulting some of the big scenes to be done in CG, which when you do CG on tv it looks horrible.

yes another cancellation by the f*cking retards at NBC, i watch this every monday ON TV so i can help it with ratings compared to shows i watch online because they are watched alot... ah well the show was pretty decent but its pretty damn obvious how the episodes are gonna go
opening scene accident call 911 San Fran paramedics save the day....cue the paramedic/hospital location with paramedics talking cue hot call, another 911 is dispatched and they build up one major accident and around half way in accidents and the entire staff of SF FD is dispatched lol, and the occassional helicopter
