A new royal comedy has gotten itself a new warrior princess. According to Variety, Natalie Portman has signed on to Your Highness. Portman joins the cast that already includes Danny McBride and James Franco.

The story revolves around a cocky, slacker prince (McBride) and his brother (Franco) who must undertake a journey to save their kingdom and Franco's character's fiancee. Portman will portray a warrior princess who McBride's character falls for.

McBride wrote the script with Ben Best (The Foot Fist Way) and David Gordon Green (Pineapple Express) is directing. Production is set to begin this July in Ireland.

Your Highness was released April 8th, 2011 and stars Danny McBride, James Franco, Rasmus Hardiker, Natalie Portman, Toby Jones, Justin Theroux, Zooey Deschanel, Charles Dance. The film is directed by David Gordon Green.
