Fox has ordered two new animated series, one being an animated TV adaptation of the 2004 movie Napoleon Dynamite and another entitled Allen Gregory, which will be co-written and co-executive-produced by Jonah Hill.

Deadline TV has the news, which indicates that the Napoleon Dynamite series was given a six-episode order while Allen Gregory was given a seven-episode order.

The main players behind Napoleon Dynamite will return, with Jon Heder and the rest of the original cast returning to voice their characters. Writer-director Jared Hess and co-writer Jerusha Hess wrote the pilot along with Mike Scully (The Simpsons), with all three executive producing the series. The Napoleon Dynamite TV series will be in the same vein as the movie, which will follow an awkward group of teens trying to tread through the social circles of their rural Idaho high school.

Jonah Hill's new series Allen Gregory will center around the title character, who is apparently the most famous seven-year-old kid in the world, as he attempts to go to public school for the first time in his life. Hill wrote the pilot script with Andrew Mogel and Jarrad Paul (Yes Man), who will all executive produce the series along with Peter Chernin and Katherine Pope.

Napoleon Dynamite was released June 11th, 2004 and stars Jon Heder, Jon Gries, Aaron Ruell, Efren Ramirez, Diedrich Bader, Tina Majorino, Sandy Martin, Haylie Duff. The film is directed by Jared Hess.
