Naomi Watts to Star in Universal's the Birds Remake
The studio is planning a reimagining of Daphne Du Maurier's short story, which inspired the 1963 Alfred Hitchcock classic.
Universal is not looking to rush the film into production prior to a possible strike.
Stiles White and Juliet Snowden wrote a version of the script, which is still being developed. New screenwriters may be brought on board.
The Birds was released March 28th, 1963 and stars Rod Taylor, Suzanne Pleshette, Jessica Tandy, Tippi Hedren, Veronica Cartwright, Ethel Griffies, Charles McGraw, Ruth McDevitt. The film is directed by Alfred Hitchcock.

there are some movies that should be left alone and not have a remake. this is one of them. i say this, but i will still prolly watch it. lol

What the hell!?? Alfred Hitchc*ck would be sooooooo pissed! The Re-Make of "Pyscho" was just simply crazy, now a Re-make of "The Birds"! Naomi Watts should have her SAG card taken away for trying to re-make another classic! Ehy doesn't Hollywood just clean up the oirginial 1963 classic and Re-Release it in theaters instead of trying to Re-make a great film. Try Re-making a bad film instead, not an Alfred Hitchc*ck classic!
Director Martin Campbell has alot of talent, but I guess not orginial ideas!?

What the f*ck is all I have to say!! My God Alfred Hitchc*ck would be soooo pissed 1st a Re-Make of "Psycho", Now the "The Birds". Why screw with a classic, it will end up f*cked-up anyways!! Just clean up the orginial 1963 print, & re-release it in theaters! Naomi Watts should have her SAG card taken away for messing around with another classic!!
