MTV circling an American version of The Inbetweeners
The site reports that the cable network is close to giving a pilot commitment to the new show, with Iain Morris and Damon Beesley, producers of the original series, set to produce. It was said that they are searching for a writer for the pilot.
The series was described as a teen comedy that takes a look at four boys who are in between the popular kids and uncool kids in their high school social system.
Deadline TV is also reporting that comedian Christopher Titus is bringing a new series to Fox which is based off his life. His previous series, Titus, ran on Fox from 2000 to 2002 and was also based off his own life.
This new series will pick up eight years after the Titus series ended, in which Titus goes through a marriage and a divorce. Titus would star as himself, dealing with his new girlfriend and crazy ex-wife. Fox has handed out a script order for the pilot, which Titus is writing with Michael Glouberman.

Another good BBC show for the yanks to screw up. I don't think it would translate.
But then, the Office worked where many before it failed.

I'm very interested in the new Titus project. After watching Love is Evol on Comedy Central, I'd love to see a show on how his life is now. I still can't believe how his marriage ended, and I know that Ken Titus would not appear except for flashbacks, but it sounds like a good, dysfunctional time.
