Mortal Kombat Gets Ready for Third Installment

The filmmaker mink has recently signed on to direct the third Mortal Kombat movie. According to Moviehole, though Drew McWeeny and Scott Swan wrote the original draft of the script, the writing has been handled by the producers and their writers at Threshold Studios in conjunction with Midway games.

The third Mortal Kombat motion picture has not yet been cast and there's been no word on whether Christopher Lambert will return as Rayden. Filming might be shot in Louisiana, though nothing at this time has been scheduled.

The third Mortal Kombat film is currently in pre-production.

    finally!! it only took them 10 years!! hopefully they'll lose the cheese factor and amp it up and make it as badass as it should be. the 2nd one sucked ass and i cant even really watch the first one anymore. hopefully they will do THIS ONE right.

    i remember watching the 1st movie and loved it!! then the second f*cked it all up!! they should redo the whole idea for mortal Kombat rather than do a sequel!! i'm sure there are better actors about now to play the roles than them f*ckers in Annhiliation!!
