Though Fox has no plans for a major overhaul, the studio has scheduled a strategy meeting to assess the status of its superheroes, a group sorely missed this summer. On the agenda, Fox will mull the possibility of more X-Men spinoffs, including a young-X-Men project as well as Deadpool, based on a character played by Ryan Reynolds in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The studio is even considering reviving the Daredevil property.
"I don't see Fox changing anything," says producer-manager JC Spink. "Just because it didn't work this summer doesn't mean they should change anything. Everyone has an off season. But look at how many summers in a row it has worked for them."
And on paper, the year-end looks good with Australia and Marley & Me, and so does next summer, with the studio releasing no fewer than three tentpoles: X-Men Origins: Wolverine on May 1, Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian on Memorial Day weekend and Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs on the Fourth of July weekend.

Affleck still sucks, you're right. But at least he helped the story along in the dir. version, like when he's helping Coolio in court - that was like Murdock from the comics, and the fights are somewhat extended. But, all in all, if you go to watch it judging it heavily from the start, it's highly likely that you will hate it. Keep an open mind when watching the Dir. Cut.

Oh come on JB. He was good in the Director's Cut, just the same vision wasn't there in the Theatrical version. I mean, come on, two punches and the DD/Kingpin fight is OVER?!!! We waited a whole movie for that build-up and all we get is TWO punches and broken knee caps? Yeah, the DC is bad, the Kingpin fight is more brutal, Kingpin whoops his ass. What about when he pulls all the stops in that fight JB dude is tight with his blows. Neway like I said, Kingpin whoops him, like breaks his back and throws him into a wall, kicks him across the room, etc. Until Affleck pulls a sucker blow and breaks his knee caps, he was about to lose for sure!
Oh yeah and the (weak) sex scene with Elektra isn't there, instead he leaves her to scare some kid into thinking HE's the bad guy, there's a whole sub-plot involving Coolio... anyone who hasn't seen it and says that DD sucked then they can't say that w/out watching this version, and try saying that again.
While I'm at it, I'll go ahead and say that I feel the same way about the "Elektra: Director's Cut." Much more story. Bring in the hate comments. BTW why DID they water these two movies down for the theatrical releases?

hey web head the only way they could make the original dd better would be if they deleted all the scenes Ben afleck was in.now THATS a directors cut. hahahaha

I've seen the edited version, or whatever, and I didn't think it sucked. I think it's really good. I'll take your word on the "Director's Cut," though, CBF.

The "Daredevil: Director's Cut" was WAY better. With over 40 more mins. and rated R, plus extended fights like the one with Kingpin, you can't go wrong. Plus it tells the story so much better. I thought DD sucked ass, too, until I saw this version and realized only the Theatrical Release sucked ass.

What happened to "X-Men Origins: Magneto" ?? The Young X-Men was supposedly put on the back-burner until Magneto came out, last I heard. Ugh, time to do more research.

He didn't control it. I remember them fighting about it in the movie. Before he jumped out of the plane, the general says 'you can't control it' and he's like 'no but what if i can aim it'. And then he jumps and turns into the Hulk. The Hulk hates everything, besides the girl. So him seeing the Abomination was just a threat in the Hulk's eyes and he fought him. The only "control" that happened is when he saw that the girl (Betty) was in trouble. He has a soft spot for her which could lead to future self control but that's unknown.

Another Daredevil I would watch it, don't care what anybody says about the first, I liked it. More X-men spin offs is probably better than an X-men 4

Hopefully Affleck will come to his senses and come back as DareDevil, same with Colin Farill as Bullseye. I want to see an X-Men Origins: Storm because if you ask me, in the movies of X-Men we pretty much got Magneto and Wolverine's story, and though we may already know Storm's background from the comics, there are those who don't, and I want to see her background shown on screen. Also, Halle Berry better return as Storm.

Chad - Hulk did control himself in the movie (or at least begin the process of learning)... the end when he dropped to the ground intentionally and used the hulk to fight Abomination... i think the key now is linking the projects (Iron Man, Hulk, etc.) - that's what i'd like to see...

Deadpool would be awesome, i wanna see gambit on screen as well but i want movies that feature villians like mr sinister and apocalypse before the movies make it hard for them to appear on this time line with there original storys...the halloween syndrome.
Daredevil was rubbish, plain and simple

I really enjoyed The Incredible Hulk, Diaigma. It was really good. But I sat there after the movie waiting for the scene of Tony Stark...and I'm like...how the F*CK are they gonna control The Hulk? He couldn't even control himself, let alone the government. Unless Tony Stark invents some type of mind controlling agent that soothes his mind to his newly "imprinted allies". That would make sense. Then again, it would suck to see him being controlled like that. I know they need him in the lineup cause I could imagine quite the villian lineup with one of them being huge and basically The Hulk has to handle that one. Didn't they say Antman was being made? What happened to that? I'm glad I haven't heard more about him lol. Replace him with DareDevil.

Daredevil was f*cking awful. Reboot, put Miller or Smith behind the reigns, because they were, in my opinion, the BEST DD writers in the character's history (excluding, of course, Stan the Man).
