Producer Rob Tapert reveals the development status of the film
"It's in development," says Tapert. "We're in the outline/story/script phase."
However, while it was said that this could be Raimi's next film, Tapert isn't sure that will be Raimi's next film.
"I think he's getting his feet under him and trying to decide. He might want to do a teeny, tiny small film, but I don't know what he wants to do. I know he had a great time doing Drag Me to Hell."
Warcraft: The Rise of The Lich King was released in 2011. The film is directed by Sam Raimi.

I thought of Christopher Columbus & J.J. Abrams also for this kind of film. This really sounds like LOTR because of the somewhat same kind of characters.
Story dwells on one place I think that's 'Azeroth' but please don't believe me. And this won't touch any stories already in the game. This movie obviously circles around Lich. And Blizzard Entertainment won't let their first big screen stinks cause know for a fact that they do not have boring PC-games. And basing its cinematic/s, all fantastic, like a Cameron/Spielberg/Jackson/Raimi combined short-films.

there are plenty bad action adventures as well. I'm just saying that a good story driven fantasy is hard to come by now a days.
It's all about bad acting, bad effects from certain people. With Raimi, you get both good and bad and in the end it'll turn into a campy nightmare sort of fantasy.At least it'll be watchable and fun entertainment, instead of the slow hard epic fantasy films but worth to see kind of entertainment like LOTR.

Now that's a list, your missing one or two directors. Bay doesn't do fantasy, he's a blow it up kind of guy.
Once LOTR was finished, films like this should had been made, New Zeal Land is the perfect place.

I hope they'll make this rated R for Na'ix's sake if they picked him. I want to see how it eats some-humans/orcs or even to the same undead like it. Lich's gonna command it to search the 'hundred-acre-woods'... cos it's the best undead-hunter (for me). And ironically, please unstained the debut name WarCraft on the big screen.
