Transformers
The Transformer 2 Movie Chronicles reports "OK Well I work in the area and they have the whole area set up to be China, as you guys know. Now I did see Prime, Bumblebee, the silver corvette, 2 blue cars (small) and Ironhide. All were parked on the back lot behind Catalina Landing!

The scene I witnessed was a traffic scene where they were driving down Shoreline Drive and then 2 flatbed Trucks merge into traffic. THEN BOOOM!!! One of the two trucks blew in half."

Catch all the action when Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen hits theaters June 26. 2009.

I'm with Visionary... there are some movies that require a director who can handle the emotion aspect and other movies just want the explosions and special effects. That is what Michael Bay is good at... so he's a great director in that respect. Just look at his resume:

Bad Boys, The Rock, Pearl Harbor, Armageddon, Bad Boys II, Transformers. Notice Pearl Harbor is on the list... not for the story, but the effects. The guy is good with "popcorn" movies. The special effects/shoot em up style. (That's why Pearl Harbor bombed... the emotional part sucked but the f/x on the attack of Pearl Harbor was good).

Anyway... Bay is great at certain movies... and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen suits him perfect.

  15. The Anarchist

Yeah, well, to be honest, I don't think any other director could have done a better job, cause in the end, it's all vehicles turning into giant robots. Now that you mention it, I don't really think they could've written a 'Dark Knight'-esque story to it...
But they should be able to!

Bay is a talented director and the perfect choice for the Transformers. The Visionary said it well.

  17. T.Clark

So...Transformers sucked? Ya gotta admit, he's perfect for this. It's vehicles that turn into giant robots. That means lots of action and special effects, plus he does car chases like no other. Besides, i know he's got a rep. for being an effects wiz, but that's not all his movies are about. Armageddon had some emotional quality to it. It's been a while since i saw the rock, but i'm pretty sure that wasn't based on effects. Even TF had story to it, but again...giant robots heh

If theyre just going to be shots of the vehicles i wish itd be ones we havnt seen, then again they could just put up anything unless its a reliable source, anybody know all the confirmed transformers so far for either side?

Yeah, he's a crappy director. His films just have great special effects. But otherwise, his movies tend to suck.

    Crappy director?...

Anyways, it's awesome they got these shots, but they're nothing special...it's just the truck
