@justinishulk Strider/Aragorn is not in the Hobbit. But like him, and some other characters from LOTR's, they are being put in for cameos. For example, when the Dwarfs and Bilbo are captured by the woodland Elves, the king is the father of Legolas, so he will be put in for a cameo in that part of thee movie. Keep in mind, Bilbo is in his 50's, so no other Hobbit character from LOTR's will be apart of the Hobbit, unless it is a end or beging cameo. Like when Fellowship started, Frodo is reading a book aginst a tree. He could be reading Bilbo's book about the trip. So it might be a starting point and/or a ending point to show it like Frodo is reading the tale.
