Monsters Inc. 2 and Brave shoot for 2012
Brave, which was formerly titled The Bear and the Bow, stars the voice of Reese Witherspoon and will be Pixar's first female-driven film. Witherspooon stars as a princess who yearns to rid herself of her regal life and become the first famous female archer. Brenda Chapman is writing and directing the film.
Story details for Monsters Inc. 2 were not revealed, although we'll be sure to keep you posted on both of these new Pixar films as soon as we have more information.
Brave comes to theaters June 22nd, 2012 and stars Kelly Macdonald, Billy Connolly, Emma Thompson, Julie Walters, Kevin McKidd, Craig Ferguson, Robbie Coltrane. The film is directed by Brenda Chapman, Mark Andrews.
Monsters University comes to theaters June 21st, 2013 and stars John Goodman, Billy Crystal.

And CARS did not suck. It was just as cool as all other Pixar movies. Pixar had yet to make a sucky movie. I will see CARS 2, Monster Inc 2, and an Incredibles 2, if they ever make it. I did love The Incredibles. I use it to calibrate home theaters that I install. It's got everything you need.

@Diaigma - very good point! since Disney acquired Pixar it has been one sequel after another (though not the ONE sequel they should have made - Incredibles 2!!!! it is the only pixar movie worthy of a sequel, outside of Toy Story).

There was always going to be a sequel to Monsters Inc. (that was obvious by the ending of the original; I.E. the rebuilding of boo's door.) It just never got made because of all the other ORIGINAL ideas there were creating (I.E. Cars, The Incredibles, Finding Nemo, WALL-E, etc). so, this was inevitable
