Monster Problems Finds a Home at Paramount Pictures

Paramount has picked up the spec script Monster Problems
Paramount Pictures is in negotiations to acquire Brian Duffield's spec screenplay Monsters Problems, with Shawn Levy attached to produce.

The story is described as a post-apocalyptic road trip movie similar to Mad Max and Zombieland, with a love story at its core. Brian Duffield also wrote the Black List screenplay Jane Got a Gun, which has Natalie Portman attached to star and Lynne Ramsay set to direct.

A director has not been attached to the project yet, and it seems that Shawn Levy will only be on board as a producer, not as a director.

No production schedule was released for this genre property.

On the same day Paramount shelves Turtles, they pick up this derivative project. Says something about that company, at least to me.
