Monica Potter Joins NBC's Parenthood
Also, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Sam Jaeger is set and Bonnie Bedelia is in negotiations for the last remaining lead roles in the comedic drama based on the 1989 movie.
Meanwhile, Aussie Josh Lawson has been cast as a lead on CBS' comedy pilot Waiting to Die.
UMS/Imagine/Brian Grazer's Parenthood revolves around four siblings (Krause, Maura Tierney, Erika Christensen, Dax Shepard) and their parents (Bedelia, Craig T. Nelson).
Potter will play Krause's wife. She replaces originally cast Diane Farr, who had a scheduling conflict with her recurring role on Showtime's Californication.
Jaeger (Eli Stone) will play Christensen's husband, a stay-at-home dad who raises their 5-year-old daughter while she climbs the corporate ladder. He is repped by Greene and Associates and D/F.
Waiting to Die, from Sony/Tantamount/ CBS Par, is a buddy comedy about two men (T.J. Miller, Lawson) who are happy with their lives, no matter how bad things might look from the outside.
Lawson replaces Nick Thune, originally cast in the role.
