Mission: Impossible 3 Tops the Charts
In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, Mission: Impossible 3 was tops on both "Nielsen VideoScan's First Alert sales chart and Home Media Retailing's rental chart for the week ending Nov. 5."
The popular title moved 3.7 million units, which is "more than either of the two previous releases in the franchise." Mission: Impossible 3 also sold "an additional 20,000 units" on the two next-generation formats, HD-DVD and Blu-ray Disc. This makes Mission: Impossible 3 "the biggest-selling next-gen title since HD-DVD's April launch."
Over the Hedge held strong at the the No. 2 position in sales. Monster House took the No. 3 position, while Nacho Libre went to No. 4.
In rentals, The Break-Up took the No. 2 spot. Nacho Libre and Monster House switched positions with Nacho Libre at No. 3 and Monster House at No. 4.
