Mischa Barton will star in the coming-of-age indie drama, Don't Fade Away for the new company, Origin Entertainment Group.

Beau Bridges, Ja Rule and Ryan Kwanten also star in the film about an engaged Manhattan couple forced to deal with a father's unexpected illness; Variety adds it's written by Luke Kasdan, who is also direct and serving as executive producer.

Don't Fade Away is currenly shooting in North Carolina; it moves to New York soon.
