Minka Kelly and Alyson Michalka Sign a Lease for The Roommate

A new thriller has just signed on some new tenants. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Minka Kelly, Aly Michalka and Matt Lanter have signed on for The Roommate.

Leighton Meester and Cam Gigandet have already signed on to star in the thriller, which revolves around a college freshman (Meester) who becomes obsessed with her new roommate Sara (Kelly). Michalka will play a bubbly dormmate who tries to get Sara to have a social life, Lanter will play Sara's ex-boyfriend and Gigandet will play her new boyfriend.

Christian E. Christiansen is directing from Sonny Mallhi's script. No production schedule was given.

The Roommate was released February 1st, 2011 and stars Leighton Meester, Cam Gigandet, Matt Lanter, Billy Zane, Minka Kelly, Danneel Harris, Katerina Graham, Alyson Michalka. The film is directed by Christian E. Christiansen.
