According to The Hollywood Reporter, bucking the traditional weakness of dramas in the home video marketplace, Warner Home Video's Million Dollar Baby topped both the sales and rental charts the week ending July 17.

On Nielsen VideoScan's First Alert chart, the quadruple-Oscar winner from director Clint Eastwood scored an easy victory, outselling its nearest competitor, Buena Vista's The Pacifier, by a margin of nearly 5-1. Pacifier held steady at No. 2, however, while last week's No. 1, Fox's Hide and Seek, slipped to No. 3. On Home Media Retailing's rental chart, Baby generated an estimated $15.4 million in rental revenue, a substantially better first-week take than several recent comedies with higher boxoffice earnings.

Million Dollar Baby was released December 15th, 2004 and stars Clint Eastwood, Hilary Swank, Morgan Freeman, Jay Baruchel, Mike Colter, Lucia Rijker, Brian F. O'Byrne, Anthony Mackie. The film is directed by Clint Eastwood.
