Mike White offered the Pride and Prejudice and Zombies directing job
We reported just a few days ago that Mike White was considered the top choice for the directing job, over other directors like Jonathan Demme and Matt Reeves. David O. Russell was originally attached to direct the movie before leaving the project to direct Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Actors Bradley Cooper and Scarlett Johansson were previously attached to star in the project as well.
Mike White has only directed one movie, 2007's Year of the Dog, although he has a lengthy career as a screenwriter with movies like School of Rock, Nacho Libre and The Good Girl.
It isn't known yet if Mike White has accepted the offer to direct Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, which is based off the Seth Grahame-Smith novel. We'll be sure to keep you posted on the progress of this upcoming movie.
Pride, Prejudice and Zombies is in development .

the Narrator
I was thinking the same thing @Dave. I can't judge yet, since I haven't seen his one film, but I am a bit thrown back by this bit of news.
