Mike Myers to Appear in Inglorious Bastards

The Tarantino casting train just keeps chugging along with yet another actor on board, although briefly, for his new film. According to Quentin Tarantino Archives, comedic actor Mike Myers has landed a small role in Quentin Tarantino's new film, Inglorious Bastards.

It isn't clear what role Myers will have, but it seems clear that Myers' role will be rather small. he joins the already-confirmed cast of Brad Pitt, Nastassja Kinski, Simon Pegg, David Krumholtz, B.J. Novak and Eli Roth in this World War II film.

Production is said to begin on October 13 in Germany with Tarantino aiming to finish the film before the 2009 Cannes Film Festival.

Inglourious Basterds was released August 21st, 2009 and stars Brad Pitt, Mélanie Laurent, Christoph Waltz, Eli Roth, Michael Fassbender, Diane Kruger, Daniel Brühl, Til Schweiger. The film is directed by Quentin Tarantino.

Actually he played a serious role in "54". The movie about the nightclub back in the 70's called Studio 54. He co-starred with Salma Hayek, Neve Campbell, Sela Ward and Ryan Phillippe. He actually did pretty good as Steve Rubell, the gay owner of the club. This movie, however, seems alot more serious... but then again... the article makes it clear its just a small role.

This is a smart move for Myers since his Love Guru movie tanked at the box office and many industry people deplore his prima donna/*sshole reputation.

Myers can play dramatic, as he portrayed the owner/founder of the notorious Studio 54 in the 54 movie co-starring Neve Campbell.

Tarantino is a genius at many things and casting is one of them.

Hope this gets released next year.

  17. NAME GOES HERE

i've got nothing against Mike Myers but hopefully "Quentin Tarantino Archives" is talking sh*t because Myers' movie talents aren't the same as those that i attribute to Tarantino (and i would like for "Inglorious Bastards" to be a serious movie whilst not forcing Mike Myers into a serious role as comedy is what he does best)
